Blues Edge Brighton 2 1 At The Amex Stadium

Chelsea Win Fourth Successive European Match

Blues Edge Brighton 2-1 at the Amex Stadium

Chelsea continued their impressive European run on Wednesday, securing a fourth consecutive win with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Brighton Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium.

The Blues, who are now unbeaten in their last six matches in all competitions, took an early lead through a stunning strike from Cole Palmer. Brighton responded well and managed to level the scores in the second half through a penalty kick from Neal Maupay.

However, Chelsea refused to be denied and regained the lead just minutes later when Kai Havertz headed home a cross from Reece James. The Blues held on to their lead for the rest of the match, despite some late pressure from Brighton.

The win takes Chelsea to the top of their European group, with four wins from four matches. They will now be looking to continue their winning run when they face Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday.

For Brighton, the defeat was a disappointing end to a promising start to the season. The Seagulls have now lost three of their last four matches and will need to improve their form if they want to challenge for a European place this season.
