SiriusPoint bolster its London and international casualty team with Nick Pascall

Former Axa XL reinsurance boss takes on head of London and international casualty role at SiriusPoint.

Nick Pascall has joined SiriusPoint as head of London and international casualty, the global specialty reinsurer announced today (20 February).

Pascall, who was previously head of London and international casualty at Axa XL, will be based in London and report to SiriusPoint's head of global casualty, Ed Hochberg. He will be responsible for leading the company's casualty underwriting team in London and developing its international casualty business.

"Nick is a highly respected and experienced casualty underwriting executive with a deep understanding of the London and international markets," said Hochberg."We are delighted to welcome him to SiriusPoint and look forward to working with him to grow our casualty business." Pascall has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry. Prior to joining Axa XL, he held various senior underwriting roles at RSA and QBE.

His appointment is the latest in a series of senior hires by SiriusPoint. In recent months, the company has also appointed David Govrin as head of global marine, and Kevin O'Donnell as head of global property.
